Free Swim Proposal

Top Conservatives on Twitter (TCOT) is growing virally, and has been used by some early adopters in radio and bloggers.  Recently, TCOT has gotten a boost by Hugh Hewitt with a national audience via syndication and streaming radio. This rapid growth drew attention of Liberal Activist Bloggers and Tweets (or twitterers) ADDED: Pranks and sabotage quickly followed.  TCOT would like to be proactive and encourage respectful debate.  Action Project “Free Swim” was created to organize, implement and assess a “Free Swim”,[ never happened, too busy spotting sharks and fending off attacks on person] and to actively encourage participation by Liberal social media and radio listeners [done with some limited success]. No private discussion here [AMEN], but a respectful freewheeling debate [very limited success].

Why?  Engaging the Liberal social media in a fun [constructive, proactive, certainly heated!] way will [not] encourage productive debate rather than pranks and sabotage,

Proposal: 

• Humbly suggest that debate between TCOT and liberals use hashtag #opfs  for Op Free Swim [happening defacto, grass roots, very libertarian in use of hashtags, mixing of TCOT and OPFS]
• Invite audience from Twitter with the hashtag #TCOT. [for discussion. #TCOT is highly used for good and mischief. How ]
• Identify liberals entering #TCOT tweet stream and engaging in debate. Encourage TCOT to offer #OPFS as better place to tweet, with less noise.[They’re here, one our Ambassador named by @michaelphealy]
• Have TCOT members and affiliations invite from any social media, and encourage them to get on Twitter and show up at a predetermined time. [Not relevant, see above]
